Building up the Timer

In today's blog I'll be talking about two main topics, Testimonial Builder and Countdown Timer. Both of these are Apps available on WIX Market and could really spice up your website and give it the boost it needs to attract potential customers.

Testimonial Builder

What is it? What does it do? Well here's a quick rundown on it's main features. It's an app that allows you to Import existing reviews from other websites, such as Google or Facebook and display it in your website. It acts as a way to let users of your product/service review and give a rating on how their experience was, including a comment section is allows for customers to engage and communicate their thoughts to your business.

The downsides to using such an App? There really isn't any outside of it's free package. The free version of Testimonial Builder is a dumpster fire and if your serious about pulling customers I'd suggest using their paid package.

What can this app do for you? Well as a business looking to re-open with new, exciting features, who is going to know? With your current reputation people won't even bat an eye at your attempts to pull them in, why would anyone bother? With Testimonial Builder you could use unbias high-rated reviews of your new and improved Island Resort to show your potential customers your new features and increase your customer acquisition and retention. These visitors understand what they'll get out of your island resort and would be more willing to jump in.

Countdown Timer

Now this app is what any good business website needs. What is it? Well it's in the name, It's a massive countdown timer. This is a perfect app if you have any special deals and sales or maybe perhaps a big project being launched like an opening, this app can display when these events will happen and create excitement for future dates. Other uses for Countdown timer include an interactable counter for users, whenever a new visitor opens the website it could increase the timer by 1 or act as a way to display the amount of purchases/stock made in a certain period of time. The app would certainly help pull in new customers as they would jump on the opportunity of special sales or events, increasing not only customer acquisition but retention as you could have the app be displayed to certain users in particular like new visitors or members, displaying timers on member-only sales/deals.

So, we've seen the features of the app, now what are some disadvantages to consider when using it? Honestly not much, it's easily implemented into your Wix Website and is very easy to use. The only major downside is if you had a big package or project that was scheduled to release/open on this date and it was delayed, if this happens customers would become very confused by the lack of new changes or maybe frustrated after seeing the countdown increase to match the delay, causing customers to leave.

Well this one is pretty obvious. You have an app used as a way to display when an new deal or exciting event is going to happen. You also have a scheduled opening on your Island resort with new, fancy features. Well this app will help to attract and build up suspense for your customers. Advertise when the opening begins, perhaps throw in sales or specials that'll last only when the opening begins, the countdown timer app was made for a situation like this.
